BEHIND THE MIND
Passion in Practice
As a child I was naturally introverted and shy (actually 55.2 shyness/boldness. It's both.) I became conscious of that early on and decided to hurl myself, often "inappropriately" (based on what I knew others thought was strange), into uncomfortable social situations to dispel that shyness, to desensitize myself to it, and hopefully, to proactively steer my self in the direction I willfully chose amid a world that seemingly rewards extroverts for the ideas and actions of introverts. "Why not become the actor on the stage while maintaining the proclivity for raw innovation?
Become the actor, the 'doer', while directing the events of your life, by balancing will-power and surrender." (Or so I thought). Do you have the ability to surrender to yourself? Surely you do. But do you remember how? Do you know how it works?
FESTINA LENTE
January 23, 2020
Do what you love, because time is a human construct. Some people take forever to do nothing and others prefer racing each other to red lights. I assure you, there's another way.
The Latin phrase "Festina Lente" means "to make haste slowly". Ever since I was a child I was fascinated with achieving different states of consciousness and this very concept permeated through in every moment I put all of my energy into whatever I was doing. It didn't matter what it was. Something as mundane as mopping the floors after a hard day's work in a restaurant or plucking that last tiny weed out of a yard from the root after hours under the sun in triple digits became spiritual experiences when I combined my focus with both discipline and surrender. The sacrifices we make are rewarded with humility and even pride.
Why Sacrifice? (28.6)
People today have a distorted view of both pride and sacrifice. Sacrifice for no particular reason is deemed foolish, and YET whether someone is permitted to derive pride from a specific sacrifice remains subjective. This is why it's so important to do what you love. Because after the smoke clears, you want your sacrifice to have counted for something, to make you proud. Would your future family and friends revere you for giving up on your vision in the name of sacrifice? No. They would more than likely be appreciative of your provisional support, stability, and protection yet remain confused about the potential energy that lies within themselves just dying to be expressed through the ego in a unique way spiritually.
We should do our best not to confuse those who look up to us.
Why Lead?
Even if you claim to not be a leader there are people who believe you are worth following.
(Specific to Desire motivation. Not for Innocence motivation).
It's not about showing them how great you are or by renouncing your perceived leadership while feigning humility.
(Open ego talking here).
It's about actually being humble while showing them how great THEY too can be.
(If that's in your design- Role Model traits). And yes, that requires you to be great first. Teach by example.
Enter "focus mode" and the magic will flow through you. Every "time".
Festina Lente. (Make haste, slowly).
If that sounds like a "spell" we "should" all want more of it.
